Pc Darren Marcano, a Bermuda Police officer for 17 years, was arrested on July 28, 2022 for an alleged criminal offence.  He was was suspended, with pay, for alleged gross misconduct.

This weekend, the officer passed away suddenly. Read more here.  It appears the criminal investigation had yet to be concluded!

Now, there is an ongoing investigation into PC Marcano’s sudden passing.  The Bermuda Police Service is apparently committed to maintaining transparency and possibly the many questions that arise will be addressed comprehensively to include why the issue was not addressed promptly and the cost to the constabulary.
