US Law Enforcement Officer:

… you’re getting a lot of problems Phil

PS – Bermuda officer:

Yeah, um, all right let’s just run over this again

US Law Enforcement Officer:

don’t write anything down, don’t tape anything, just, this is just for your knowledge and you and (officer1) to talk to and tell (USOfficer1)

PS – Bermuda officer:

But Angela’s already said it was a Customs officer

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Right

PS – Bermuda officer:

But she gave the name?

US Law Enforcement Officer:

But she, she doesn’t really know she’s just told me. She don’t, she don’t wanna tell you people because she was afraid it was going to get back to him

PS – Bermuda officer:

But she knows of “him”

US Law Enforcement Officer:

She knows that name Ramsey she was there present there at Marcus’ house when Marcus called him directly.

PS – Bermuda officer:

And we’re talking Ramsey?

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Yes

PS – Bermuda officer:

Okay, now when you say that he called, do you know where he called to

US Law Enforcement Officer:

he called Bermuda from Miami to Bermuda

PS – Bermuda officer:

Yeah, but we don’t know if it was the office or

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Oh, no we don’t know

PS – Bermuda officer:

Okay, now run over Attorney1

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Attorney1 went bankrupt three years ago

PS – Bermuda officer:

Yup

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Okay what he did is he, that, Marcus, Marcus came in and re-financed him and everything. Are you familiar with that, that he went bankrupt

PS – Bermuda officer:

I know that he went bankrupt I think it was, may have been a bit more than three years

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Okay, Marcus came in and re-financed him and the reason to re-finance him was to clear things in Bermuda for him, you know, get the connections. You know, so things are easy for him in Bermuda because that’s where he’s making most of his money. So he came re … Attorney1’s apparently, a free baser of cocaine and Marcus supplies him with cocaine for himself too and also gives him money to keep him things clear. So what they’re doing is, and when Miranda, when Miranda talks to Attorney1 or the other guy, they three way call to Cohab in Florida. So when like, you know you’re talking to your lawyer, if I’m Miranda and I’m talking to Attorney1, Attorney1 then does conference calls to Marcus in Florida

PS – Bermuda officer:

Very neat

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Yes and that way we can’t pick that up.

PS – Bermuda officer:

Okay

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Okay

PS – Bermuda officer:

Have you had her story corroborated by anybody?

US Law Enforcement Officer:

I, I mean, I just spoke to, and it all fits in to what I’ve developed

PS – Bermuda officer:

Yeah

US Law Enforcement Officer:

You know what I mean. I mean, you know she’s given me dates, oh Lattini is very much involved so is courier4 and it’s a shame that we didn’t know this before.

PS – Bermuda officer:

Yeah, cause he’s obviously gone now.

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Yeah, but we can get him

PS – Bermuda officer:

No, I’m just thinking about, obviously this gentleman here

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Umm, no that’s why I’m telling you. It’s singular in nature, be careful with it, I would just go to officer1 with it and have officer1, that’s it, just bury it in your head for now until we can do up some more information on it

PS – Bermuda officer:

Yep

US Law Enforcement Officer:

All right

PS – Bermuda officer:

Okay, I’ve got something for you

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Go ahead

PS – Bermuda officer:

Just an enquiry, I’m going to inform USOfficer1 when he comes over here, nobody else in my office is aware of this

US Law Enforcement Officer:

right

PS – Bermuda officer:

umm, you remember you met informant1

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Right

PS – Bermuda officer:

Well he, umm, he’s been a good buy (boy)

US Law Enforcement Officer:

right

PS – Bermuda officer:

he’s been doing his bit and we’ve got somebody over at the moment who’s part of the same network

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Right

PS – Bermuda officer:

Let me just find just where I’ve put the information and get back to you on that, here we go, we’ve had a guy come over and he’s come from Miami, I’ll just put this stuff down, stayed in the Sonesta for one night

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Right

PS – Bermuda officer:

came in on, let’s see, came in on Thursday, stayed over night Thursday was booked in at something like 11pm, left before 8am the following day.

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Right

PS – Bermuda officer:

The Name is (Target1 – full name given) booked through (ticket issuing office address in Miami) on his hotel card he gave his address as (full details given, Miami telephone number) now he’s still here at the moment

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Okay

PS – Bermuda officer:

It’s anticipated that he’s going to be leaving this week

US Law Enforcement Officer:

right

PS – Bermuda officer:

He is supposed to be the person who is bringing the drug back into the country

US Law Enforcement Officer:

bringing

PS – Bermuda officer:

the drug into the country, back to Bermuda. He’s going to bring 8 ounces of cocaine

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Drugs into, into where?

PS – Bermuda officer:

Bermuda

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Into Bermuda from?

PS – Bermuda officer:

From, he’s going to do the Tampa flight. Now we’re going to try and get a date

US Law Enforcement Officer:

So he’s leaving and then he’s coming back

PS – Bermuda officer:

Yup, it’s anticipated he’s going to leave here on Tuesday nobody knows about this, not even officer1.

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Okay

PS – Bermuda officer:

Umm, obviously, because of the problems I’m having I’m trying to keep everything close.

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Right

PS – Bermuda officer:

It’s anticipated

US Law Enforcement Officer:

This reference Hal right

PS – Bermuda officer:

Yep, now, it’s anticipated that he’s going to leave Bermuda on Tuesday, he’s talking about being back within two or three days

US Law Enforcement Officer:

okay

PS – Bermuda officer:

so it’s possibly Thursday, Friday or Saturday

US Law Enforcement Officer:

right

PS – Bermuda officer:

umm, description, I’ve seen the boy

US Law Enforcement Officer:

right

PS – Bermuda officer:

he’s about five feet nine, white, he’s got black hair, looks slightly Italian black hair, I mean his face looks slightly Italian, in so much as although he’s got quite a square face he’s got that black curly hair, quite big curls, his hair’s only about half an inch from his head.

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Right

PS – Bermuda officer:

Short, short hair all round, no side burns, no moustache, no beard

US Law Enforcement Officer:

how much does he weigh?

PS – Bermuda officer:

I would say about 190, he’s s stocky guy, he’s very solid, about 25 years old um, even though he’s, well he’ll probably pick up a bit of a sun tan here, but he was very white, I say very white, he was a white guy, no tan

US Law Enforcement Officer:

okay

PS – Bermuda officer:

um, he was wearing ‘t’ shirt and shorts, baseball boots that sort of thing, but he looked stocky umm

US Law Enforcement Officer:

in fact remember the other black girl that was getting dope from informant2, that was delivering it to the Island?

PS – Bermuda officer:

I remember you mentioning a name

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Yeah big, big heavy set black girl, end of informant2 statement

PS – Bermuda officer:

Yep

US Law Enforcement Officer:

We’ve got a Courier1 is what we have

PS – Bermuda officer:

Okay, well this boy, informant1 is staying close to him at the moment

US Law Enforcement Officer:

good, very good

PS – Bermuda officer:

The only other thing that I’ve managed to get is that he made a collect call Saturday, 5pn approximately

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Right

PS – Bermuda officer:

from a phone box here. Now because it’s collect it won’t necessarily be on a bill we can get hold of, it won’t be

US Law Enforcement Officer:

right

PS – Bermuda officer:

but apparently they’re dealing with A.T. & T.

US Law Enforcement Officer:

right

PS – Bermuda officer:

there was, I’ve checked informant1 calls, he’s been accepting collect calls and the only collect one that’s come up, because obviously the bill had to be sent from the US over

US Law Enforcement Officer:

right

PS – Bermuda officer:

is from an Indian City, that mean anything?

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Indian City?

PS – Bermuda officer:

or an Indian Town , in Florida

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Uh Uh

PS – Bermuda officer:

Now this is supposed to be the boss who’s in prison, he’s supposed to be coming out very soon

US Law Enforcement Officer:

right

PS – Bermuda officer:

but this is where the boss, I’ll have the number probably tomorrow or Wednesday

US Law Enforcement Officer:

okay

PS – Bermuda officer:

so I’ll be able to get that across to you

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Is there anyway you can pull, um reference the other job, speaking of telephones, is there any way you can pull watch-yer-call-its home phone number?

PS – Bermuda officer:

Whose?

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Attorney1’s

PS – Bermuda officer:

I can do it

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Yeah

PS – Bermuda officer:

But you can imagine the flack that it will cause

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Oh, I know

PS – Bermuda officer:

Um, it’ll,

US Law Enforcement Officer:

who has, who has to see that

PS – Bermuda officer:

Oh, don’t get me wrong, I can do it, it would be best to go through George (Jackson – DI Narcotics) because from George it will have to go elsewhere

US Law Enforcement Officer:

right

PS – Bermuda officer:

the information you’ve given me has been touched upon by another case we’ve got going

US Law Enforcement Officer:

reference Bda Narco Officer1

PS – Bermuda officer:

Yep

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Okay, what are you, the same thing?

PS – Bermuda officer:

Umm, yeah

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Okay

PS – Bermuda officer:

same sort of thing, not as um, not as bad as what you’ve just said

US Law Enforcement Officer:

right

PS – Bermuda officer:

so there are moves at the moment, um

US Law Enforcement Officer:

do you want me to tell officer1 directly that way he doesn’t think that you’re

PS – Bermuda officer:

no there’s no problem officer1 will accept that from me. Does USOfficer 1 know about this.

US Law Enforcement Officer:

No he doesn’t, it’s new info

PS – Bermuda officer:

okay, the gentleman you’re talking about is away for 2 months

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Oh, okay, where’s he?

PS – Bermuda officer:

I don’t know

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Vacation?

PS – Bermuda officer:

No, he’s on a course in Canada I think

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Oh, maybe he’s in Miami

PS – Bermuda officer:

Sorry?

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Maybe he’s in Miami

PS – Bermuda officer:

No he’d have, this is paid for by the job so he’d have to be there

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Oh

PS – Bermuda officer:

The only thing was he’s just comeback after two weeks leave to the US

US Law Enforcement Officer:

oh yeah

PS – Bermuda officer:

um, so then he went to stay with a girlfriend apparently

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Right. Deb, Debbie, Debbie I mean Debbie was the key that could have blown off, the whole the whole lid off the network and we, we just, we were just three days behind her and we missed he and it’s a shame because we really could have had everybody identified but

PS – Bermuda officer:

which

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Debra Morton

PS – Bermuda officer:

yep

US Law Enforcement Officer:

the one that was killed

PS – Bermuda officer:

yep

US Law Enforcement Officer:

but she’d stay with a girl named subject1 a white girl that was friends with Dexter in Warwick

PS – Bermuda officer:

yep

US Law Enforcement Officer:

White girl that’s all she’d had, but friends with Dexter, a white girl named subject1, um, what else, um, oh she keeps mentioning that guy subject2 & subject3 they er, the guys she was also delivering to, is friends with er, officer1 knows about them and he has their last name

PS – Bermuda officer:

yep

US Law Enforcement Officer:

he says that they’re with Dexter all the time that crew

PS – Bermuda officer:

okay

US Law Enforcement Officer:

So, that’s er, we’re looking good right now, we just er, we just got some statements we can possibly lock up courier2 and courier3 and er, a bunch of people so it’s flying, you know what I mean?

PS – Bermuda officer:

Yeah

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Umm so, maybe we can er, this is, this was very interesting, about Bda Narco Officer1 er, but just, you know that’s sensitive itself so you know, it’s only coming from one person so, just be careful with it, I’m sure you’re aware of that.

PS – Bermuda officer:

It just interests me that he would know the name to be able to give Angela

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Right, oh you know why, because

PS – Bermuda officer:

well, that’s right, eh could only get it from one source couldn’t he

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Yeah but look back in 1982                 (note to self – see: 1983 – background)

PS – Bermuda officer:

yeah

US Law Enforcement Officer:

he was, listen to this, in 1982 when your arrest, he was arrested with the $20,000 and the cash was given back to him

PS – Bermuda officer:

yeah

US Law Enforcement Officer:

do you know who handled that arrest?

PS – Bermuda officer:

No

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Ha, who do you think?

PS – Bermuda officer:

Yeah

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Bda Narco Officer1, is Bda Narco Officer1 friends with Attorney1?

PS – Bermuda officer:

I wouldn’t say directly, but I mean , we don’t know what goes on behind the scenes

US Law Enforcement Officer:

exactly

PS – Bermuda officer:

we really don’t

US Law Enforcement Officer:

okay, so just tell Joe to be careful with, with er that and about Attorney1, er, you know stay clear because like Miranda’s talking to Attorney1 and Attorney1 conferencing him to Cohab so they know what’s going on and this Importer1 was definitely involved.

PS – Bermuda officer:

Oh

US Law Enforcement Officer:

He’d, oh you know what, the day she’d got popped for the phone bill, Angela, know how much cash she had on her?

PS – Bermuda officer:

$25,000

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Nooooo, $350,000

PS – Bermuda officer:

You are joking

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Nope, and they missed it

PS – Bermuda officer:

Laughing

US Law Enforcement Officer:

but she, and she flew out with it next time when after they, she went back and paid her phone bill she flew out she, guess who she, she come to Newark hotel, remember the Newark holiday inn?

PS – Bermuda officer:

Yeah

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Guess who she gives it to

PS – Bermuda officer:

Short fat ugly guy

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Yeah. No Dan Lattini.

PS – Bermuda officer:

Oh nice

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Yes and she also picked up cocaine at Lattini’s house, three kilos and delivered it to courier3 and courier4 was there and you know, he knows about the whole thing courier4 and Lattini was with Debra a couple of times when they, and courier5 was with er, courier5 flew, the day courier5 was arrested the day courier5 was arrested at the Customs, in your Customs courier5.

PS – Bermuda officer:

yep

US Law Enforcement Officer:

that was, that was a, that was a put on so Angela could get through.

PS – Bermuda officer:

Hmm

US Law Enforcement Officer:

She knew she had the paper, the paper work look like it was messed up

PS – Bermuda officer:

yeah

US Law Enforcement Officer:

so she, you know, she would take, a small hit, whatever and that was so Angela could get through Customs.

PS – Bermuda officer:

Very nice

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Because they flew in together Courier5 and Angela. But courier5 had the cocaine up at Newark at the Holiday Inn or whatever at Newark and Debra was up there and courier5 bought it to Angela that morning and put it on her body and then they flew both into Bermuda and they said , and courier5 says to her “we don’t know each other” so on the flight we don’t sit near each other, when we come into Customs I’ll go first, I’ll make sure something happens, I’ll make a commotion somehow and you’ll go through

PS – Bermuda officer:

Okay

US Law Enforcement Officer:

All right

PS – Bermuda officer:

very nice

US Law Enforcement Officer:

so if you check your paper work I’m sure you’ll see that they’re in at the same time

PS – Bermuda officer:

yeah, okay

US Law Enforcement Officer:

all right

PS – Bermuda officer:

Now, I’ve just found the piece of paper I’ve got it written on, Indian Town, Florida

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Indian Town Florida

PS – Bermuda officer:

Yep, that’s where this

US Law Enforcement Officer:

That’s probably where the goal is

PS – Bermuda officer:

That was on the 4th August he took a collect call, that’s what I’m thinking, it probably is the goal. Now, apparently these brothers Hal is dealing with, there’s eight of them

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Huh

PS – Bermuda officer:

What I’m trying to do, obviously, find out when the stuff’s coming down and get your guys, get your guys to take him off

US Law Enforcement Officer:

right, then we can flip him

PS – Bermuda officer:

well, if you can all well and good, but I’ve got a feeling it’s going to be one of the brothers. This boy is supposed to be one of the brothers, the name I gave you importer 2.

US Law Enforcement Officer:

okay

PS – Bermuda officer:

If he is, he’s not going to speak and (prisoner) says he’s probably not going to worry to much, at a bit of time. But the idea is to make them worried enough that they’ll want informant1 to come over to you

US Law Enforcement Officer:

right

PS – Bermuda officer:

when informant1 comes over he can obviously introduce

US Law Enforcement Officer:

an undercover

PS – Bermuda officer:

yeah

US Law Enforcement Officer:

perfect

PS – Bermuda officer:

once he’s introduced, obviously he, if he can get back here immediately there’s the two, two things I’m thinking of is that once, at least by introducing somebody, at least you’ve got someone in plus he’s got the security there’s a bit of safety there

US Law Enforcement Officer:

okay

PS – Bermuda officer:

we’ve got someone with him

US Law Enforcement Officer:

yeah

PS – Bermuda officer:

then we get him out of there, we get him back to Bermuda. Then you can even do a dummy run

US Law Enforcement Officer:

right

PS – Bermuda officer:

You know, take 8 ounces, drop it off in New Jersey, send your boy down, your agent, send him back, pick up some cash, pay them some cash, you know, play to your hearts content with them

US Law Enforcement Officer:

all right

PS – Bermuda officer:

That’s the thought anyway, the important thing is to knock them off, I’m hoping to know what’s happening with myself over the next couple of days

US Law Enforcement Officer:

okay, well I would make a, um, tell it, well you’re gonna tell officer1 maybe that will help you out

PS – Bermuda officer:

yeah, here’s hoping

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Show you why you were getting it stuck up your arse by him

PS – Bermuda officer:

interesting

US Law Enforcement Officer:

All right pal

PS – Bermuda officer:

All right mate

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Okay, I’ll talk to you

PS – Bermuda officer:

take care of yourself

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Hey, yo, have USOfficer1 call me when he gets in

PS – Bermuda officer:

Where can he contact you

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Um, just have him er call my office and have my office page me

PS – Bermuda officer:

Okay, what’s the number there again

US Law Enforcement Officer:

(number supplied)

PS – Bermuda officer:

Okay, no problem

US Law Enforcement Officer:

All right buddy

PS – Bermuda officer:

All the best

US Law Enforcement Officer:

Bye

PS – Bermuda officer:

Have a good one
