2026

On average, a road fatality occurs every 31 days in Bermuda. 2026, is substantially exceeding this:

  1. 22/01/2026 – Adam Tavares, 51: reported to have lost control of his cycle and hit a wall at the junction of Loyal Hill and North Shore Road at about 5.20pm. Read more here.
  2. 02/01/2026 – Jahzavier Wilson, 19: collision between a motorcycle and a water truck on Verdmont Road. Read more here.
  3. 14/02/2026 – Siena Frankson, 16(?): the male motorcycle rider had lost control of the vehicle, which came off the roadway, Miss Frankson, the pillion passenger, died. Read more here. 
  4. 31/01/2026 – Wilton Woolridge, 52: he succumbed to his injuries on February 18. Read more here
  5. 25/04/2026 – as yet, un-named: 4.17pm,  on Somerset Road, a motorcyclist dies.

  8. 19/05/2026 – Laquan Thomas, 30: cycle crash on Malabar Road

2025:

  1. 10/01/2025, at about 2.30pm, 18-year-old Miss A’Maya DeRosa, was involved in a collision on Middle Road near the junction with Manse Road , whilst riding a motorcycle – read more here.
  2. 23/02/2025, at about 1:30am, 40-year-old Lionel Thomas Jr. died following a road traffic collision involving a van and a motorcycle on St. David’s Road, just east of the Southside Police Station – read more here & here.
  3. 10/ 06/2025, at around 9:26pm, a 19-year-old male motorcyclist Zende Butterfield was hospitalised following a multivehicle road traffic collision, and pronounced dead two days later – read more here & here.
  4. 12/05/2025, around 2,00pm , 71-year-old Gladwyn Anderson was the driver of a car involved in a collision with a Department of Public Transportation bus on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish – read more here.
  5. 17/07/2025, at about 6:30pm a 16-year old male on an auxiliary motor cycle was involved in a collision and passed away as a result of the injuries sustained – read more here.
