On 25 February 2022, the European Union adopted Regulation (EU) 2022/328.

The Federal Agency for Air Transport (Rosaviatsiya) is advising its companies to stop all flights abroad till Sunday, 6 March, due to the mass grounding of airplanes. Read more here. 

Almost all civil aircraft in Russian airlines’ parks are registered in Bermuda, Interfax mentions.

In February 2022, the UK and other countries introduced sanctions against Russia in response to its military action against Ukraine, targeting its financial sector and assets held by Russian politicians and oligarchs. The Government of Bermuda has confirmed it will implement the sanctions. It says this is likely to “greatly impact “around 740 aircraft registered in the country that are used by Russian operators (Royal Gazette).  Read more about the sanctions here.
